Luna is a free, shared baby tracker for feeds, sleep and nappies. Both parents log into one family record from their own phones, so the person doing the 2am feed can see what happened at midnight without waking anyone. For South African families it speaks clinic, not NHS: the EPI (SA) immunisation schedule, Road to Health booklet wording, local help numbers and Africa/Johannesburg time.
Start tracking free, then choose South Africa under Settings → Country.
What changes when you pick South Africa
- Clinic schedule: Luna shows the EPI (SA) 2024 childhood immunisation visits and which one is next for your baby's age.
- Road to Health booklet: check-ups are called clinic visits, with a reminder to bring the booklet. The booklet and the clinic stay the official record; Luna is your own notes.
- Help numbers: emergency and advice lines for South Africa replace the UK's NHS 111.
- Time zone and units: metric units (ml, kg, cm) by default, and Luna offers Africa/Johannesburg time when you pick South Africa.
The EPI (SA) 2024 clinic schedule in Luna
These are the childhood immunisation visits on the revised EPI (SA) 2024 schedule from the National Department of Health and the Western Cape Government. Luna lists them so you know what's coming; your clinic decides what your baby gets and when.
- Birth: BCG, OPV0 (plus a hepatitis B birth dose only for babies whose mothers tested positive for HBsAg in pregnancy)
- 6 weeks: OPV1, RV1, Hexavalent1 (DTaP-IPV-Hib-HBV), PCV1
- 10 weeks: Hexavalent2 (DTaP-IPV-Hib-HBV)
- 14 weeks: RV2, Hexavalent3 (DTaP-IPV-Hib-HBV), PCV2
- 6 months: MR1 (measles and rubella), given on its own
- 9 months: PCV3
- 12 months: MR2 (measles and rubella)
- 18 months: Hexavalent4 (DTaP-IPV-Hib-HBV)
- 6 years and 12 years: Tdap
Logging through load-shedding
Power cuts and patchy data shouldn't cost you a feed. Luna opens offline, and logs you make with no signal wait on your phone, then sync once when you're back online. Nothing is counted twice.
Share the night shift
Invite your partner, a gogo or a nanny with a link. Each person gets their own login and sees the same log: last feed, last nappy, how long baby has slept. Luna is built for the handover, when one of you is going to bed and the other is taking over.
Help numbers Luna shows in South Africa
- 10177: ambulance from a landline
- 112: emergency from a cell phone
- 0800 029 999: National Health Hotline, free and 24/7, for non-emergency health questions
- 0861 555 777: Poisons Information Helpline
If your baby seems unwell, call the clinic or one of these numbers. Luna is a record-keeper, not a medical service.
No app store needed
Luna runs in Chrome or Safari. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app, see the install guide.
