Luna is a progressive web app (PWA). There is no separate App Store or Play Store listing required to get an icon on your phone. You open getmyluna.app, sign in to your family log, and add it to your home screen so it opens like other apps.
The web manifest (/manifest.json) names the app Luna: Free Baby Tracker, display mode standalone, with start URL /vega (the signed-in tracker surface).
Before you install
- Create your free account at /onboard (or sign in).
- Confirm you can see your baby timeline in the browser.
- Then add to home screen using the steps below.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
As described on the live homepage install section:
- Open https://getmyluna.app in Safari (best install flow).
- Tap the Share button (square with an upward arrow).
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add: Luna appears on your home screen.
Homepage copy notes iOS 16.4+ for the smoothest experience.
Android (Chrome)
- Open https://getmyluna.app in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
- Confirm: Luna appears on your home screen / app drawer.
Chrome may also show an Install banner; you can use that shortcut when it appears.
Why families install Luna this way
- No store wait: useful when you need a log today.
- Same shared log on phone and desktop browser.
- Updates without store review: you always hit the live site.
- Works alongside the optional MCP connector for assistants.
If you were searching for a downloadable baby tracker app binary, know that Luna’s supported path is the PWA install above, that is intentional on the live site.
What you get after “Add to Home Screen”
Once installed, Luna opens without browser chrome in standalone mode (per manifest.json). You still need network access to sync the shared family log. The icon is a shortcut to the live site, which is why store review is unnecessary and why you always reach the current app.
If the icon opens but asks you to sign in, sign in with the same account you created at onboarding. Partners should each install on their own devices after accepting an invite.
Troubleshooting common install snags
- Used Chrome on iPhone: prefer Safari for Add to Home Screen on iOS.
- Cannot find Share sheet: on iPhone it is the box-with-arrow in the bottom toolbar in Safari, as the homepage explains.
- Android menu says nothing about install: try the on-page install banner if shown, or chrome:// ensure you are on the HTTPS site getmyluna.app.
- Want desktop too: you can keep using the browser bookmark; PWA install is optional.
How install fits the wider Luna setup
Install is step four in the homepage “up and running” story: after account, first event and partner invite. You can invert that order if you like (install first, then onboard), but having an account makes the icon immediately useful.
For agent builders, install is irrelevant; use /developers and /connector. For parents, the home-screen icon is the difference between “I’ll log it later” and actually logging the nappy in the moment.
Want calm answers from your own log?
Free Luna already keeps the shared tracker and the assistant connector. Luna Plus (£3.99/mo) adds Ask Luna: answers and summaries grounded in what your family has actually logged, in the app or through a connected assistant such as Meta Muse or Claude.
After you install and log for a few days, decide whether Ask Luna summaries would help. Plus is optional and explained on the upgrade page.
Safety boundary
Luna is for organising baby logs and routine summaries. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, assess allergies, set doses, or replace a qualified health professional or emergency services. For symptoms, medication, allergy or treatment decisions, use a qualified health professional or urgent care route. Read our Safety page for the full boundary.
