Connect Luna to Meta Muse, Claude, or any MCP assistant.

Luna is a baby tracker for feeds, sleep, nappies, solids and routines. This page describes the MCP connector that lets an AI assistant log events, check status and answer questions from a family's own log, on their behalf and with their consent.

Version 1.0.0 23 tools Regions: UK, US No tracking scripts

What it does

Once connected, an assistant can log feeds, naps and nappy changes; check whether a child is asleep, hungry or due for a nap; review the week's nutrition and allergen records once solids have started; pull proactive nudges; and (with Luna Plus, £4.99/month) answer free-text questions grounded in that family's actual log, never generic advice and never percentile jargon. Everything except ask_luna works on the free plan.

Set up in Muse

Create a Luna account (or sign in), open Settings in the app and choose Connect an assistant to create a token. In Muse, choose "build a custom integration" and paste:

Build a custom integration to Luna. Its MCP server URL is https://getmyluna.app/mcp. Authenticate with the header Authorization: Bearer <token> (create a token in Luna → Settings → Connect an assistant). I want you to be able to log feeds, naps and nappies, check status and nudges, and ask Luna questions from any future conversation. Connect to it, test every capability end to end, show me the results, and save the integration as a reusable skill.

Tools

Every tool response includes child (name and age) and as_of (local time with timezone), so the assistant never has to guess whose data, or which clock, it is reading. Write tools accept an optional idempotency_key and return a plain-language confirmation_summary for the assistant's approval dialog.

Proactive nudges

Luna does not only answer when asked. Pending nudges (a nap window opening, a feed overdue, an allergen record about to lapse, supplies running low) are available by polling get_nudges or by registering a webhook with subscribe_nudges. Webhook posts carry X-Luna-Timestamp and, when a secret is set, X-Luna-Signature: sha256=<HMAC of "timestamp.body">. Webhook delivery is paused between 21:00 and 06:30 local time; nudges stay visible via get_nudges.

Luna is not a medical device.

The connector organises and summarises what a family has logged. It does not diagnose, assess symptoms, or advise on medication or allergy decisions, and the assistant is told to direct those questions to a qualified clinician or emergency services. See Safety.

Data handling

Luna stores only what a family logs about their own child: first name, date of birth, event logs, caregiver usernames, and optional consumable inventory. Data is isolated per family, bearer tokens are stored hashed, tokens carry read/write scopes, and every write through the connector is audited. See Privacy and Terms for the full detail, including retention, deletion and sub-processors.
