Luna vs Huckleberry

Last checked: 23 October 2026. Huckleberry facts come from its UK App Store listing, Google Play listing, pricing page and help centre. We make Luna, so we've kept to facts you can check.

The short answer

Huckleberry is built around sleep: its paid tiers predict nap times, build schedules and offer sleep plans. Luna is built around the handover: a free log that both parents (and anyone else helping) write to from their own login, so whoever is up at 3am can see what happened at midnight. If you want sleep guidance, Huckleberry does more. If you want a simple shared log at no cost, with each person signed in as themselves, Luna is worth a look.

The UK App Store lists Huckleberry Plus at £10.99, £11.99, £59.99 and £64.99 and Premium at £12.99, £14.99 and £105.99, without saying which is monthly or yearly, so we've shown the lowest.

Where Huckleberry is stronger

  • Sleep timing. SweetSpot predicts the next nap from 2 months, and Schedule Creator plans age-based schedules. Premium adds custom sleep plans with weekly check-ins. Luna gives simpler nap and bedtime estimates from your own log, with no schedule builder or sleep plans.
  • More things to log for free. Pumping, potty training, activities and medicine all have their own trackers in Huckleberry's free tier, and the free tier now includes the full solids report.
  • A native app. Huckleberry is on the App Store and Google Play, and its Plus tier adds Apple Watch, widgets and lock screen updates on iPhone.
  • Siblings and twins. You can track several children with their own profiles.
  • Scale. Huckleberry says it's trusted by more than 5 million families.

Where Luna is different

  • Everyone signs in as themselves. Huckleberry's pricing FAQ says caregivers share by signing in to the same account on each phone. In Luna you send an invite link, and your partner, a grandparent or a nanny creates their own login to the same family log. Invite links expire after 48 hours.
  • One small paid extra. Tracking and sharing are free in both apps. Luna's only paid extra is Plus at £3.99/month, for Ask Luna.
  • Answers from your own log, not general advice. Ask Luna answers questions like "how long did she sleep after the 7pm feed this week?" from what your family logged. It doesn't give medical or sleep-training advice.
  • Works in any browser. Luna runs in Safari or Chrome and can sit on your home screen like an app. You can also check the log from a laptop.
  • Connect an assistant for free. Luna's connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse or another MCP-compatible assistant log feeds and naps and check status for you. See the connector.

Offline, and the night shift

Both apps let you log with no signal. Huckleberry's help centre says the app syncs once you're back online, and notes that if you and a partner both log while offline, those logs "may become out of sync once you are back online again". Luna keeps offline logs on your phone and sends each one with a unique key, so a log that's retried on a patchy connection is only saved once.

Moving from Huckleberry to Luna

Luna doesn't import data from other apps. Most families start fresh from today and keep their old app for history. Create a free Luna log, then invite your partner.

Want calm answers from your own log?

Free Luna keeps the shared tracker and assistant connector. Luna Plus (£3.99/mo) adds Ask Luna: answers from your family's own log.

Common questions

Is Luna a free alternative to Huckleberry?

Luna's tracker and partner sharing are free, and so is Huckleberry's basic tracker. The difference is what you pay for: Huckleberry's paid tiers add sleep predictions, schedules and plans, while Luna Plus (£3.99/month) adds Ask Luna answers from your own log.

Does Luna have something like SweetSpot?

Not quite. Luna shows a nap estimate, next feed and bedtime estimate from the patterns in your own log (using typical ranges for your baby's age until there's enough data), for free, but it doesn't create sleep schedules or sleep plans.

Can my partner use Luna with their own login?

Yes. Send an invite link from the app and they create their own login to the same family log.

Does Huckleberry work offline?

Its help centre says you can log sleep and other activities offline, and it syncs when you're back online. Luna works offline too.

Is Luna on the App Store or Google Play?

Not yet. Luna runs in Safari or Chrome and can be added to your home screen. An Android app is coming.

Can I move my Huckleberry data into Luna?

Not at the moment. Luna doesn't import from other apps.
