Luna vs Nara Baby

Last checked: 23 October 2026. Nara Baby facts come from its UK App Store listing and the official Nara Baby FAQ. We make Luna, so we've kept to facts you can check.

The short answer

Nara Baby and Luna agree on the big idea: everyone who looks after your baby should log into one shared record with their own login. They differ on price. Nara is a paid app: after a 7-day trial, one subscription or lifetime purchase unlocks everything, with no ads and no extra tiers. Luna's tracking and sharing are free for good, with one optional paid extra. If you want pregnancy and postpartum tracking, an Apple Watch app and one price for everything, Nara is a strong choice. If you want the shared log without a subscription, look at Luna.

Nara's own FAQ gives its price as $9.99/month or $99.99 lifetime. The UK App Store lists several monthly and lifetime prices; we've shown the range.

Where Nara Baby is stronger

  • Everything in one plan. Nara says there are no premium tiers and no extra in-app purchases: once you pay, every feature is unlocked for the whole caregiver circle.
  • Lifetime option. A one-off purchase covers your family, including future children.
  • Pregnancy and postpartum. You can track your own vitals, mood and recovery, not just the baby.
  • Twins and siblings. Nara is built to track and compare multiple children.
  • iPhone extras. Live Activities, Siri commands and an Apple Watch app.
  • Nap reminders. Recurring nap reminders based on fixed times or wake windows you set.

Where Luna is different

  • No trial clock. Luna doesn't stop you logging after a week. Feeds, sleep, nappies, solids and sharing stay free.
  • Pay only if you want answers. Luna Plus (£3.99/month) adds Ask Luna, which answers questions from your own family's log. Everything else works without it.
  • Any screen. Luna runs in Safari or Chrome, including on a laptop, and can sit on your phone's home screen.
  • Offline by design. Logs made with no signal wait on your phone and sync once, so nothing is counted twice.
  • Assistant connector. Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse or another MCP-compatible assistant can log for you for free. See the connector.

Both of you, your own logins

Nara recommends that each person registers their own email and password rather than sharing one login, and Luna works the same way. In Nara you invite caregivers from the Family tab and they get full access. In Luna you send an invite link (it lasts 48 hours) and they create their own login to the same family log. Read more about sharing a baby tracker.

Which should you pick?

If you'd happily pay once for an ad-free app that also covers pregnancy and postpartum, and you use an iPhone and Apple Watch, Nara Baby is a good fit. If you want a shared log that costs nothing to keep using, on any phone or computer, start a free Luna log.
