Free baby tracker

A baby tracker app that keeps one calm family log

When the day is split across phones, paper notes and “I thought you logged it,” a baby tracker app only helps if everyone can see the same timeline. Luna is a free web baby tracker for feeds, sleep, nappies, solids, common allergen records, routines and notes. Parents and invited caregivers use separate logins while updating one shared family log.

You open Luna in the browser, or save it to a phone home screen so it behaves like an app. Core tracking stays free. Optional Luna Plus (£3.99/mo) adds Ask Luna: calm answers from your own records.

What you actually do in Luna

From the home screen and onboarding flow on getmyluna.app:

  1. Create a family log at /onboard with baby name, date of birth and your login. Not born yet? Use the due date instead: the log stays empty until the birth, and on the due date Luna asks if your baby has arrived.
  2. Log the day: milk feeds, breastfeeds, sleep, nappies, solids, allergen records, measurements, supplements and free-text notes.
  3. Invite a partner or caregiver with a private invite link so they get their own login on the same baby profile.
  4. Read the day back as one timeline instead of reconstructing it from chats.
  5. Optionally connect an assistant (Meta Muse, Claude or any MCP client) via Settings → Connect an assistant, using the hosted connector at /connector.

Age-aware context adjusts what Luna shows to your baby’s age in weeks. Daily milk totals, recent sleeps and allergen grids sit beside the events you entered: organisation, not clinical advice.

How to start (about two minutes)

  1. Open https://getmyluna.app/onboard.
  2. Enter baby details and create your login (no credit card for free tracking).
  3. Log one feed, nap or nappy so the timeline feels real.
  4. Send an invite from the app when you are ready to share.
  5. On iPhone or Android, follow Install Luna to add the home-screen icon.

Developers and agent builders can use the same tracker’s REST API and OpenAPI; caregivers usually never need that path.

If you searched for a free / online / spreadsheet-style tracker

Many people land here looking for a free baby tracker, an online baby tracker, a newborn tracker, a baby log app, a baby care app, a timeline or a spreadsheet alternative. Luna covers that intent in one place:

  • Free core tracking: unlimited everyday logging on the free plan.
  • Online, multi-device: browser-based; works on phone or computer.
  • Newborn onwards: useful from early days through first foods.
  • One readable timeline: events stay together instead of tab-hopping a sheet.
  • Export and deletion: family admins can export JSON or delete the account from settings / documented API routes (see Privacy).

If your main need is feeding, sleep, nappies or sharing alone, jump to those deeper pillars below.

Built for tired handovers

The product promise on the live site is simple: keep the tiny details of the day in one place so the next person on shift spends less energy reconstructing them. That is why Luna emphasises partner sharing and caregiver invites as much as the event buttons themselves.

Want calm answers from your own log?

Free Luna already keeps the shared tracker and the assistant connector. Luna Plus (£3.99/mo) adds Ask Luna: answers and summaries grounded in what your family has actually logged, in the app or through a connected assistant such as Meta Muse or Claude.

If you already keep a solid log and want summaries like “what has she eaten today?” answered from your data, Plus is the optional layer, not a paywall on logging.

Safety boundary

Luna is for organising baby logs and routine summaries. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, assess allergies, set doses, or replace a qualified health professional or emergency services. For symptoms, medication, allergy or treatment decisions, use a qualified health professional or urgent care route. Read our Safety page for the full boundary.

Common questions

Is Luna a free baby tracker app?

Yes. Everyday tracking (feeds, sleep, nappies, solids, allergens, routines, notes) is free. Luna Plus is optional at £3.99/mo for Ask Luna answers from your log.

Do I need the App Store or Google Play?

No. Luna is a progressive web app. Open it in Safari or Chrome and add it to your home screen, see the install guide.

Can both parents use it?

Yes. Invite your partner; they create their own login and join the same baby profile.

Is this only for newborns?

No. Luna is used from newborn stage onwards and adjusts context by age in weeks as your baby grows.

Does Luna replace a spreadsheet?

It can. Families use it when a sheet is too fiddly for overnight handovers. You still own export/delete controls for your data.

Does Luna give medical advice?

No. It organises what you log and can summarise patterns. Clinical decisions stay with qualified professionals.

Can an AI assistant log for me?

Yes, with your consent and a token you create. Logging, status and nudges via the MCP connector are free; Ask Luna through the assistant needs Plus. Details on /connector.
